LinkDirect have been shortlisted in the category of SME of the Year by the Wirral Investment Network - awards night to be held in June 08.

LinkDirect were one of the guest sponsors at the launch of Inner City Sailing which is a unique and ambitious scheme which hopes to teach 500 children from schools across Merseyside how to sail. Louise Ellman, MP for Liverpool Riverside, said it was a great initiative for the people of Merseyside. She added: “The scheme is all about young people being resourceful, using their initiative and working in a team."

LinkDirect has capped a highly successful 12 months by being named 'Distribution House of the Year' at the Data Publishers Association (DPA) Annual Awards. The prestigious prize, which was presented by Sky News presenter Lucy Alexander, comes just weeks after the Birkenhead-based company secured major contract wins from BT (The Phone Book) and Thomson Directories. Operations Director Peter Rand, who heads up the company’s expanding directory delivery operation, said: "Winning the award is tangible proof to all of our delivery team that their efforts over the past eight years have been recognised by a wider audience – and it shows that we are at the cutting edge in both service levels and IT development.” LinkDirect was praised by the judges for its product innovation and for showing "real commitment to their people and understanding of their importance to business success".

A LinkDirect Free Newspaper Client, the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley Review, celebrated a significant milestone this month having been producing their paper week in, week out for 25 years. Equally impressive is the loyalty that they have shown to their distribution contractors during this period as Chris Roxburgh, LinkDirect's MD, was involved in the planning stages of the paper 26 years ago and is still the client contact today.
